1. Who is responsible?
CleanCutsLab is operated by Richard Wallaart. For questions about this privacy statement or the use of your personal data, contact cleancutslab@hotmail.com.
2. What data do we process?
When you create a free member account, we process your chosen display name, email address, encrypted account credentials and technical information required to maintain a secure session. CleanCutsLab cannot read your password; it is processed and protected by the authentication provider.
If you separately subscribe to email updates, we process your email address and subscription status. Creating a member account does not automatically subscribe you to news or promotional messages.
3. How do we use your data?
- To create and manage your free account.
- To verify your identity and provide access to Identity Lab.
- To send essential confirmation, security and account-recovery emails.
- To prevent misuse and unauthorised access.
- Only after a separate subscription: to send updates about new videos, downloads or other CleanCutsLab news.
4. Legal bases
Account data is processed because it is necessary to provide the free membership you requested. Security and misuse prevention are based on the legitimate interest of keeping the website and member accounts secure. Optional email updates are based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. Service providers
CleanCutsLab uses Hostinger for website hosting and Supabase for registration, authentication and potentially protected file storage. These providers process data to deliver their services to CleanCutsLab and may use their own infrastructure and subprocessors. Where processing takes place outside the European Economic Area, the applicable safeguards offered by the provider are used.
6. Retention
Account data is retained while your account remains active. Following a valid deletion request, we remove the account and directly available account data, except for information temporarily retained in protected backups or where longer retention is legally required. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe.
7. Security and session storage
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. The website uses essential browser storage to keep members securely signed in. This storage is required for account functionality and is not used for advertising.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or portability of your personal data. You may also object to certain processing and withdraw previously given consent. Send requests to cleancutslab@hotmail.com. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity.
9. Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or your local supervisory authority.
10. Changes to this statement
We may update this statement when the website, the services we use or legal requirements change. The current version and its latest revision date will always be published on this page.
A CleanCutsLab member account is always free and separate from the newsletter. Email updates are activated only after a separate and voluntary subscription.
